I am a self-made 100-mile endurance rider (with 4 self-made horses). I absolutely love flying through the woods on my horses.
 
I enjoy following and learning from those in all equestrian sports and most sports for that matter.
 
It takes so much emotional, mental, financial, spiritual and physical fortitude to do what we love.

Why is the store called ChiefHeather?  At 30 years old and for my husband’s second deployment to Iraq, he bought me 2 (Chief & Liberty) horses.  Loving the woods, I discovered organized trail rides.  I bought a 2 horse bumper pull and hit the road.  Through word of mouth, I discovered distance riding.  Wanting to “just” complete the 1st loop of a 25 mile ride, my horse, Liberty, was amazing and I got a little competitive.  Then, I completed 25 miles. I had no idea where that trail would lead.   Fast forward 8 years, I have completed a 75 mile ride on my first Arab, Ghost, and multiple 50s on Ghost and Harley (my 2nd Arab).  I have a goal of my first 100 fall 2019.
 
People of other sports and clubs show their pride with various apparel so I though we should have a way to do the same.  5 years ago, I had this logo created.  After my first and only 75, I had it tattooed on my forearm to remind myself of the journey.  In 2019, I’m ready to share it with you!
